Method
How I work
I diagnose before I design. I write goals as observable behavior. I reinforce through coaching and workplace application. I choose measures that show what changed and state their limits plainly.
I focus on the moments where management becomes real: a one-to-one, a shift handoff, a coaching conversation, or a difficult performance discussion. I look at what the manager is doing, what the team experiences, and where clearer practice or support is needed.
At Sandbox VR, I built the learning function across corporate and franchise operations, manage an Instructional Designer, and work with functional leaders and distributed trainers to deliver it. My direct report is the Instructional Designer. Distributed trainers and the managers these programs support are partners and participants.

What I optimize for
Velocity, behavior, ownership
The same three outcomes sit behind every project in this portfolio.
- 01
Velocity
Reduce the distance between signal and action.
- Risk becomes visible before launch, with an owner attached
- Tradeoffs are stated in writing when priorities change
- Repetitive work is removed by the people who do it
- Managers diagnose the cause before escalating
- 02
Behavior
Measure what people actually do.
- Visible commitment closure, counted
- Priority changes documented within 24 hours
- Coaching conversations observed and scored
- AI capability assessed through real builds
- 03
Ownership
Move durable ownership into the business.
- The participant's own business review carries the measure
- Peers inspect and challenge each other's commitments
- A department maintains and extends its own workflows
- Coaching support ends and the practice holds

A little more about me
Outside of work
Outside of work, I am usually doing something a little nerdy, competitive, or unnecessarily difficult. I play a lot of Magic: The Gathering, mostly Commander, with some draft and the occasional prerelease. I am part of a regular D&D campaign, an amateur electric unicyclist, and currently clawing my way toward a 1200 rating on Chess.com by the end of the year. I also love to travel. So far, that has taken me to France, Belgium, Hong Kong, Puerto Vallarta, and more than 39 U.S. states, with a very long list still to go. There is probably a common thread in all of it: I like learning things that take a while to get good at, finding people who are equally into them, and having something new to figure out.
